The FCC Topshot competition will be held again this year. It sees more innovations, more prizes and more awards than in previous years which makes it an exciting competition in which to be involved; a real plus for the camera club movement in New South Wales. MAny KSCC members have submitted entries so head up to Lidcombe to view.The exhibition will be at Dooleys Catholic Club Lidcombe (right opposite the station) on the 19 April 2008 commencing at 11.30 am to 4.00 pm in conjunction with the FCC AGM (commencing at 10.30am).

Here are the KSCC Competition Rules
Please note that we no longer have a slide competition.
They will be updated shortly to cover the new digital projected images competition.
The object is to photograph any or all of the six subjects. Prints need only to be 6 x 4 format mounted on one sheet of cardboard for display. Digital images may be presented if preferred and should be provided in jpeg format on a thumb drive or CD following the guidelines below.*
Bring your prints or images to the 5th March meeting for display and critique. You have one month to complete the Photographic Hunt, please join in and have fun with your photography.
1. All creatures great and small – Time to get out of the house and find an image of one or more living animals, birds or insects photographed in their natural environment.
2. Out of the blue – Anything related to blue e.g. feelings or colours
3. Old and weary – Self portraits welcome
but let your imagination go here and I’m sure you’ll find lots of images to enter in this section.
4. Room with a view – Could be an outhouse or a million dollar mansion ….
5. Going for gold – Anything related to gold e.g. money, colour, winning
6. Creative people – Be creative with people or find a creative person

Images to be in JPEG format and sized ready for viewing by projection.
Maximum width is 1024 pixels Maximum height is 768 pixels Maximum File Size 220kb jpeg
An ICC Colour profile of sRGB should be used. File Names should contain the section (A, B or SP) followed by an underscore _ then your name underscore _ the title of the image e.g B_BillSmith_SunsetBeach.jpg
Congratulations to Barrie Newling for this different perspective of South Head Lighthouse, winning him POTM.

We would like to congratulate the inaugural winner of our Photo of the Month competition. Congratulations Klaus Doering for his print entitled “Morning Blue”, taken on the Amalfi Coast near Naples.

On July 18th we’ll be holding an Open Competition. Don’t forget to bring along your entries for our Exhibition of Members’ award winning prints and slides for the print and slide of the year. The guest judge is Diane Epoff who will also share some of her amazing photography at our Annual Presentation Dinner to be held July 27th at Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the meeting.
On Wednesday 20 June 2007, we’ll be holding our Annual General Meeting. The AGM will commence at 7:30 pm precisely. All financial members are encouraged to attend.
Following the AGM, we’ll be holding an Open Competition.
On Wednesday 16 May 2007 we’ll be holding a Portrait People Competition.
