Kiama-Shellharbour Camera Club

On 17 January 2007 we were scheduled to hold another Open competition. Plans have now changed - this night will now be the official opening night of our annual exhibition. There will be no competition on this night.

From the 16th to the 22nd of January 2007, we’ll be presenting a week-long exhibition of KSCC members’ work entitled “Photographer’s Showcase”. It will be held at the Old Fire Station Gallery, Terralong Street, Kiama, and will be open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Opening night will be Wednesday 17th at 7:00 pm, so there will not be an Open Competition at the meeting room that night as per the program.

The Christmas social night on December 6th is the deadline for entry forms and prints, so get cracking!

Exhibition Requirements

• Number of prints per person: 3
• Maximum size: A3 print plus matte and frame
• Panoramas or oversize prints: at the discression of the committee
• Taut string or cord must be attached to the back of the frames, no wire. Small prints will be placed on stands
• Please try to avoid plastic frames as they can come apart when hung
• Glass and mattes must be clean
• Prints are to be clearly labelled with name and title on the back and wrapped in bubble wrap, also labelled
• Entry forms must accompany the prints with the sale price or NFS (not for sale) marked on the form
• Late entries will not be accepted after 6th December 2006 Christmas Social

On 6 December 2006 we’ll be holding our annual Christmas social night. Please bring along a plate of food, some photography questions and a good story or two to share!

We’ll also have on display our photo rally creative/freestyle exhibition, which should make for some interesting conversation and maybe give you some fresh ideas for your photography.

Don’t forget also to hand in your framed prints for the January exhibition at the Old Fire Station Gallery in Kiama. The exhibition theme will be “Photographer’s Showcase”, so bring in the work you want to showcase to the world! Well, Kiama locals and tourists at least.
