Upcoming: Photographers Showcase Exhibition
If you’re going to be in the Kiama area in January, don’t miss “The Photographers’ Showcase”, an exhibition of photography by the members of Kiama-Shellharbour Camera Club.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 10th January to Monday 16th January, 2006 at The Old Fire Station Gallery, on the corner of Terralong and Shoalhaven Streets, Kiama (click here for a map). It will be open daily from 10am to 5pm, with the official opening night Wednesday 11th January at 7pm.
Our sixth exhibition was an outstanding success. The standard of our member’s work just keeps getting better every year. The Opening Night attended by members, family and friends in photography was not to be missed. The excitement of the exhibitors, especially the first timers, was wonderful to see. Our sponsor, John Shelley from the Kiama Picture Company, opened the exhibition and commended the club on its high standard of photography. This year 34 members entered a total of 94 prints with 22 being sold. We had very close to 3000 visitors both local and tourists from far and wide. Their comments in the visitor’s book were very positive. Marlene Bruce from Dapto won the much sort after digital camera. Once again I would like to thank my wonderful committee for their commitment to the club in organising the exhibition. A reminder to all members, you have less than 12 months to be ready for next year’s exhibition! To all the exhibitors, my sincere congratulations, you did your club proud. Dulcie Dal Molin President
